1. Confirm the listing. Ask whether the item is still available and whether the displayed price and currency are current.
2. View it first. Inspect products in person or request a live demonstration before sending money.
3. Meet safely. Choose a busy public place during daylight and tell someone where you are going.
4. Protect your information. Never share a bank PIN, one-time password or account password.
5. Trust your instincts. Unusual urgency, prices far below market value and requests for advance payment are warning signs.
